Missy & Andrew [Chicago]

The past few weeks have been crazy and I've been meaning to post some images from a recent shoot in Chicago. Here's where I've been the past month: LA, Napa, Chicago, Iowa City,Home,Des Moines, and now I'm back on the road to Kearney, NE.

I scheduled my shoot with Missy and Andrew (they live in Chicago) a few months ago and booked a second shoot for a commercial client through Malone & Company.

Missy and Andrew gave me lots of time for the shoot. We shot most of the day and managed to get in some night shooting. The total tally was 34GB worth of images (I'm still editing). Along the way they treated me to lunch and a great dinner at A Mano.

Check out the gallery of a few favorites.

Napa

Last weekend Anne along with Mike and Patty headed to Napa. Our reservations panned out at The French Laundry and wow, what a place. Many of you know that I'm a pretty plain when it comes to food, but I tried it all-including Caviar. I think my favorite was the lobster tail along with the 4 desserts! Last week was all about new food experiences-2 days before I tried sushi for the first time at Sushi Roku while shooting in LA.

Of course along our journey we hit many wineries. We went back to Niebaum-Coppola, now called Rubicon Estate. Anne and I were there 4 years ago.

Check out more images here!

Baseball

I've been on assignment this week at USC, University Hospital and got a chance to shoot these triplet baseball players. I love their shoes! Of course this image need to be tweaked just a bit, so I had to give it some "old school" magic.

Mike Malone was gracious to let me break in the new monster, Canon 1DS Mark III. At 22MP this camera can handle anything that comes our way.

Foto Cabina

I meant to post this a while ago. Everywhere I went at WPPI there was a really hip photo booth, called Foto Cabina.

I'd love to see one of these at a wedding!

Below is Julie Morris from Grand Island and Shane and Erin Melenbacker from Kearney.
